How to add exclusions
Open the campaign edit page.
Find the Apply to section.
Enable the Exclusions toggle.
Select one or more exclusion types.
Choose the products, conditions, or values to exclude.
If you use multiple types of conditions, choose whether the conditions should use AND or OR logic.
Save the campaign.
What can I exclude?
You can exclude products based on:
Product type
Vendor
Tag
Collection
Product variant
Product price range
Do exclusions override “Apply to”?
Yes. Exclusions take priority.
If a product matches both the campaign’s Apply to conditions and an exclusion condition, the product will be excluded and will not receive the discount.
For example:
Apply to: All products
Exclude: Clearance collection
Products in the Clearance collection will not receive the discount.
How does AND logic work?
Choose AND when a product must match all selected condition types to be excluded.
For example, you select:
Vendors: Vendor A or Vendor B
Collections: Collection 1, Collection 2, or Collection 3
Logic: AND
A product is excluded only if it:
Belongs to one of the three selected collections, and
Has one of the two selected vendors
How does OR logic work?
Choose OR when a product should be excluded if it matches any selected condition type.
For example, you select:
Vendors: Vendor A or Vendor B
Collections: Collection 1, Collection 2, or Collection 3
Logic: OR
A product is excluded if it:
Has Vendor A or Vendor B, or
Belongs to Collection 1, Collection 2, or Collection 3
Do I need separate campaigns for multiple exclusions?
No. You can add multiple exclusion conditions to the same campaign. Creating separate campaigns only to manage multiple exclusions is usually unnecessary.
Use separate campaigns when you need different discount rules or different groups of included products—not simply because you have several exclusions.
