Sales Channel Display for Automatic Product Discounts

Written by Max K.

What is the "Display product discounts across sales channels" option?

By default, automatic product discounts created in Discount Mixer are displayed only on your Online Store and POS Pro.

Enable this option if you want your automatic product discounts to be displayed on additional connected sales channels, such as:

  • YouTube

  • TikTok

  • Facebook & Instagram

  • Other supported Shopify sales channels

This option can also be used when you prefer discounts to be displayed using Compare-at Prices across supported channels.

When should I enable this option?

Enable this setting if:

  • You want automatic product discounts to appear on sales channels other than Online Store and POS Pro.

  • You want discounted pricing to be reflected through compare-at pricing where supported.

  • You are running campaigns that should be visible consistently across multiple sales channels.

If you only sell through your Online Store or POS Pro, you typically do not need to enable this feature.

How do I enable product discounts across all sales channels?

To enable this feature:

1. Open your Discount Mixer admin panel.

2. Navigate to the Sales Channels tab.

3. Click Display product discounts across sales channels.

4. Review the feature information and considerations.

5. Enable the Display product discounts on all channels option.

6. Save your changes.

Once enabled, new automatic product campaigns can be displayed across your connected Shopify sales channels, subject to the limitations and requirements described below.

Before You Enable This Feature

Please note the following:

  • By default, automatic product discounts are displayed only on the Online Store and POS Pro.

  • Enable this feature only if you want discounts to appear on additional sales channels or if you want to use Compare-at Prices for discount presentation.

  • This feature applies to new automatic product campaigns only.

  • All sales channels must be properly connected and synchronized with Shopify before discounts can be displayed.

How does it work?

When enabled:

  • Discount Mixer will publish eligible automatic product campaigns across your connected sales channels.

  • New campaigns created after enabling the setting will follow this behavior.

  • Connected sales channels must be properly installed, connected, and synchronized with Shopify.

Important

This feature applies to:

✅ Automatic product campaigns only

This feature does not apply to:

❌ Volume discount campaigns

❌ Discount code campaigns

❌ Existing campaigns created before the setting was enabled

Limitations and Considerations

Before enabling this feature, please review the following:

Product Discount Campaigns May Combine with Other Discounts

When this feature is enabled, Discount Mixer uses Shopify's Compare-at Price system to display discounted pricing across supported sales channels.

Because Compare-at Prices are not treated as active discounts by Shopify, customers may still be eligible for other discounts that are applied separately.

This means the discounted price created through this feature can be combined with:

  • Shopify discounts

  • Discounts created by third-party apps

  • Discount Mixer campaigns that do not use Compare-at Prices

  • Other eligible promotions applied at checkout or through Shopify's discount system

We recommend thoroughly testing your promotions before launching them to ensure the final pricing matches your expectations.

Filters and Tagging Are Disabled

Campaigns using:

  • Product tags

  • Customer tags

  • Customer filters

  • Advanced segmentation rules

cannot use this feature.

When cross-channel display is enabled, these filtering capabilities will be disabled.

Activation May Take Time

After enabling the feature:

  • Campaign synchronization may take several minutes.

  • Existing campaign updates may take time to propagate.

  • Temporary synchronization delays can occur while Shopify updates pricing across channels.

Discount Visibility Depends on the Sales Channel

Not all sales channels display discounts the same way.

Depending on the sales channel or theme:

  • Discounted prices may display differently.

  • Compare-at prices may be used instead of discount labels.

  • Discounts may not be visible in the cart or checkout.

  • Some channels may have display limitations outside of Discount Mixer's control.

What Happens When I Duplicate a Campaign?

When duplicating an automatic product campaign:

  • If the original campaign uses cross-channel display

The duplicated campaign will also be configured to display across all supported sales channels.

  • If the campaign uses tags or customer filters

Cross-channel display will not be applied to the duplicated campaign.

This restriction exists because filtering and tagging are not compatible with cross-channel discount publishing.

  • If cross-channel display is not enabled

The duplicated campaign will behave like a standard automatic product campaign and will only be visible on:

  • Online Store

  • POS Pro

Troubleshooting

My discount is not showing on another sales channel

If your discount is not appearing on a sales channel, review the following checks:

1. Verify that the sales channel is connected and active in Shopify

In your Shopify admin:

Go to Settings → Apps and sales channels.

Confirm that the sales channel (such as TikTok, YouTube, Facebook & Instagram, etc.) is installed and active.

Open the sales channel and verify that it is properly connected and not showing any setup errors.

How to confirm:

The sales channel appears as active in Shopify.

No connection, account, or synchronization errors are displayed.

Products are successfully published to the sales channel.

2. Verify that the campaign is an Automatic Product Campaign

The Sales Channels feature only works with Automatic Product Campaigns.

To verify:

Open the campaign in Discount Mixer.

Review the campaign type.

How to confirm:

The campaign is an Automatic Product Campaign.

The campaign is not a Volume Discount Campaign.

The campaign is not a Discount Code Campaign.

If the campaign uses another discount type, it will not be displayed across additional sales channels.

3. Verify that Synchronization Has Completed

After enabling cross-channel discounts or making campaign changes, Shopify may require time to synchronize pricing across channels.

How to confirm:

Wait several minutes after creating or updating the campaign.

Refresh the sales channel product listing.

Check whether the discounted price has been updated.

If changes were made recently, synchronization may still be in progress.

4. Verify that the Sales Channel Supports Discounted Pricing

Not all sales channels display discounts in the same way.

Some channels:

Display sale prices directly.

Use compare-at pricing.

Have limitations on how discounts are shown.

May not display discount information in all placements.

How to confirm:

Review the sales channel's product listing.

Check whether the discounted price or compare-at price is visible.

Consult the sales channel's documentation regarding sale price support if needed.

5. Verify that Your Theme or Sales Channel Configuration Allows Discount Visibility

Even when the discount is successfully synchronized, visibility depends on how the theme or sales channel presents pricing information.

How to confirm:

View the product page as a customer.

Check whether sale prices and compare-at prices are enabled in your theme.

Test on both desktop and mobile devices.

Review any theme customizations that may hide sale pricing or discount badges.

Some themes or sales channel integrations may not display discounts in the cart or checkout, even when the discounted price is correctly applied.

Still not seeing the discount?

If all of the above checks have been completed and the discount is still not visible:

Confirm that the product is included in the campaign.

Verify that the campaign is active.

Ensure the product is published to the sales channel.

Allow additional time for synchronization to complete.
