You can now display your product discounts across all connected sales channels, such as Google Merchant, Facebook, or TikTok Shop, using your store’s compare-at price functionality.

This feature enables your theme (and any connected platforms) to handle discounted prices natively, ensuring greater visibility across your sales channels. However, it also comes with a few important considerations.

How It Works

By default, Discount Mixer discounts are only applied on your storefront and are not directly visible in external feeds or channels.

When this feature is enabled, Discount Mixer updates your product prices and compare-at prices directly in Shopify. Your theme and connected channels (such as Google Merchant) then display these prices automatically.

Because your theme controls the storefront presentation, Discount Mixer will not influence how discounts appear visually—this is entirely handled by your theme and connected platforms.

Before You Begin

Before migrating to this setup, please review the following key details.

1. Display of Discounts

  • Discounts will not appear in the cart or checkout by default.

  • To show customers their total savings, enable the Cart Savings Widget from your Customisation page in the Discount Mixer app.

    • If the widget doesn’t appear, a brief one-off configuration may be required.

  • On product and collection pages, discounts will appear via your theme’s compare-at price settings.

    • You can adjust their appearance through your theme customisation panel (if supported).

  • Widget-based features such as countdown timers are not available under this mode, as Discount Mixer does not control your storefront layout.

External visibility

Discounts managed via the compare-at price system can also appear on external platforms (e.g. Google Merchant).

These platforms handle how discounts are displayed—for example, showing “Sale” or “Was/Now” pricing—based on their own rules.

2. Compatibility with Existing Campaigns

Your current campaigns use the default discounting system. When migrated:

  • Existing campaigns will continue to run as normal.

  • New campaigns will use the new compare-at price method.

If a product appears in both types of campaigns, discounts may stack.

To prevent this:

  1. Set your existing campaigns to Inactive before testing the new setup.

  2. Create a test campaign with a few products to observe how it behaves.

3. Sync Timing

Discount Mixer automatically synchronises product and collection changes.

  • Syncing usually completes within 30 to 60 minutes.

  • This timing also applies to external platforms (e.g. Google Merchant), which typically reflect updated prices within the same timeframe.

Behavioural differences:

  • In the old system, the most recently created campaign overrode earlier ones.

  • In the new system, the first active campaign takes priority. If another campaign targets the same product, it won’t take effect until the first is deactivated. The switch will complete within the usual sync window.

Additional notes:

  • Editing campaigns during sync (e.g. adding or removing products) may extend the sync time.

  • Variant-level updates take slightly longer due to the more detailed product-level processing in this system.

4. A Note on This Release

This feature is in beta, and a few limitations are temporary.

We’re continuing to improve performance and compatibility in upcoming updates.

In the meantime, following these steps will help ensure the best possible experience.

How to Enable This Feature

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin and open the Discount Mixer app.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Under Display discounts on sales channels, tick the checkbox Display product discounts on all channels.

  4. Save your changes.

This will activate the compare-at price mechanism and begin updating product information for your connected channels, such as Google Merchant.
